Scholarship 101
Finding and applying for college scholarships can be a full-time job! To increase your odds of receiving scholarships, you must realize the more you apply, the better chance of receiving money for college! Understanding where to find scholarship opportunities, how to make your application look the best, and meeting deadlines are some of the most important lessons when considering scholarships as a way to pay for college! The counselors at North High School want to help and make the process for students and families as easy as possible! Remember, if you want to increase your odds of receiving FREE MONEY in the form of scholarships, giving up is not an option; no matter how tired, frustrated or overwhelmed you feel come see us and we will assist in every way possible! |

HELP AVAILABLE
On Thursday, September 19th from 5:30-7:30 senior students and their families are invited to work on scholarship essays and scholarship applications in the school library. |
Step One
Research and find the scholarships you are eligible and meet the criteria for.

Step Two
Write a personal essay and resume which is almost always required for every scholarship you apply for.

Step Three
Make sure your application materials are presentable, request all additional documents (ex.: transcript) to be included ahead of time, and meet the deadlines for submitting all materials.
