Free RAI Calculator
To calculate your RAI score, you must enter your ACT composite score, GPA and number of completed RAI courses taken. An RAI score is used for the admissions process to any of the regents universities, Iowa State, University of Northern Iowa and University of Iowa. To access the FREE RAI CALCULATOR, CLICK HERE.
Iowa high school graduates must achieve a Regent Admission Index (RAI) score of at least 245 to qualify for automatic admission as freshmen. Students who achieve a score less than 245 will be considered for admission on an individual basis.

Invest In My Future (IIMF)
Created to provide programs that assist African American children in understanding the value of an education and preparing them to take their rightful place as future leaders. Job Corp
A free education and training program that helps young people learn a career, earn a high school diploma or GED, and find and keep a good job. For eligible young people at least 16 years of age that qualify as low income, Job Corps provides the all-around skills needed to succeed in a career and in life.

Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA)
FAFSA
Federal Student Aid is responsible for managing the student financial assistance programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965. These programs provide grants, loans, and work-study funds to students attending college or career school. Families can apply beginning October 1st of their student's senior high school year for aid to use following their high school graduation.

ICAN helps nearly 800,000 students, parents and education professionals prepare for college each year.
Planning for a career and college, filing for financial aid and mastering your financial situation can be confusing and intimidating. For that reason, ICAN's team of Student Success Advisors work directly with Iowa students and their families. ACT Registration
If the goal is to attend a 4-year university, then it is important to have a high ACT score to present to admissions. If you are interested in taking or re-taking the ACT, registration is completed online. There is a charge for the exam, but fee waivers can be provided in the College & Career Counseling Center at North HS.
